Dhanush has always been a talented and versatile actor. The new feather in his cap is his latest award for the Hindi film Raanjhanaa. He was given the Best Debut (Male) Award at the IIFA Awards 2014. The film had him playing the tole of a Tamil Bramhin Kundan. He develops a crush over a pretty Muslim girl Zoya played by Sonam Kapoor. This childhood crush however changes as they grow and Zoya finds better pastures! Though not conventional Bollywood material, Dhanush has made a mark. The role alos offered him enough scope to emote a gamut of emotions like hope, love, disappointment, joy and so on.
The film was set in Benaras and the picturesque locales were beautifully captured by the lens of cinematographers Natarajan Subramaniam and Vishal Sinha. The film is not only engaging but a great visual treat too!
Dhanush was overjoyed at receiving the award and tweeted, "My first IIFA :) thanks for all the support and love guys. Without your support would n have been here." We congratulate the actor on his win that has made us proud.
