When the lead pair of the serial Saravanan-Meenakshi fell in love in real life, their fans were delighted. These roles were played by Senthil Kumar and Sreeja Chandran and they have a huge fan following. The serial ran for a long period of 6 years over 2 seasons.
The couple credit their marriage to their fans who always told them that they looked like a made-for-each-other couple. Their onscreen marriage was a grand and elaborate affair and created quite a stir among fans. However, for their real life marriage which took place on 7th July, 2013, they decided to keep things simple. Their wedding was a small private ceremony at Tirupathi.
