Kamal Haasan appreciates Kochadaiiyaan

 

 

 

Kamal Haasan was invited for a special screening of Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyan on Sunday. The two stars have always been great friends and he gladly accepted the invitation and was warmly welcomed by the film’s director and Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin. Kamal's manager promptly posted on Twitter "Ulaganayagan (Kamal) is watching 'Kochadaiiyaan' now.”

 

Kamal Haasan is currently shooting for Uttama Villain but caught up with this film which was made with motion capture technology. He was accompanied by his Vishwaroopam co-star Pooja Kumar. He enjoyed the film and appreciated Soundarya for having the guts to experiment with her very first film.

Ajith’s Turns Detective in Thala 55

 

Thala Ajith’s new film with Gautham Menon titled Thala 55 has been creating ripples in Kollywood. Fans are quite hungry for every little bit of news on the project.   Anushka, Trisha, Arun Vijay and Vivek play important roles in this thriller.

Ajith we hear plays Sathya Dev, a detective and the first look of the film shows him wearing a steel wrist bracelet or kada. What makes this even more interesting is that Sathya also happens to be the name of Kamal Haasan’s yesteryear blockbuster and he too wore a kada in it.  Gautham Menon had also once remarked that Sathya was his favourite film and he would like to remake it.

The film is progressing rapidly and is into its second schedule at Chennai. Ajith has a very stylish look in this out-and-out action thriller and his fans are going crazy over it already.

Why Manam Will Bring Tears to Audience’s Eyes!

 

Telugu cinema’s legend Akkineni Nageswara Rao had passed away a few months back. His last film was Manam and what made this film really unique is that it features three generations of Akkineni clan. Akkineni Nagarjuna will be seen with his late father Akkineni Nageswara Rao and son Akkineni Naga Chaitanya. Directed by Vikram Kumar, the film also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Neetu Chandra, Shriya Saran, Raashi Khanna and Lavanya Tripathi.

This will have a mega red carpet premiere On May 22^nd in Hyderabad on a lavish scale never seen before. Akkineni Nagarjuna has made plans to invite thousands of celebrities for the event. Initially, he had planned for just a single screen premiere but on coming to know of the huge demand for the film, the producers have turned into a 5 multiplex screen red carpet show. The film will hit the screens on May 23^rd.

Nagarjuna beautifully expressed his thoughts on Manam by penning thse lines with director Vikram Kumar:

“Manam is a sign that things have changed,

And our sorrows and joys have been exchanged.

Real Ghost on Horror Thriller Aranmanai Sets!

 



Director Sundar.C has been directing a multi-crore budget extravaganza – Aranmanai. Hansika Motwani, Andrea, Lakshmi Rai,Santhanam,Vinay,Kovai Sarala, Saravanan and others, this is a horror thriller. The shoot has been going on at a rapid pace on the specially constructed sets. They however never expected to experience a spine chilling incident themselves.

Child actress Priya, 6 has played an important character in the film and is to interact with spirits. During one scene he found the child talking to someone and asked her to whom she was speaking. She replied “He is standing right here. Right here.” However, he could not see anyone.

Director Sundar C spoke about this chilling experience and said, “After the shoot when we doing the editing of the silent portions of the recordings in Chennai we heard a breathing voice. I don’t have words to describe the feel. I and editor Srikanth were speechless for few minutes and scared. The tape is still with me and it stands as the witness.”

Palatial 1.25 Crore Set For Vijay’s Kaththi!

 

 

The buzz all around Kollywood has been that Vijay’s Kaththi will be his awesome Diwali release. Directed by A. R. Murugadoss, this flick has Vijay is a very stylish and thrilling avatar. The Vijay starrer has Samantha, Sathish and Neil Nitin Mukesh in pivotal roles. George C Williams is handling the camera for this action thriller.

The music for this flick is being composed by the youth sensation Anirudh Ravichander. The music composer has already completed scoring three songs for the film and is just done with the fourth one as well. The audio launch has been planned in the UK. Vijay will be spouting some powerful lines in the flick and these are being specially looked into by Murugadoss.

A huge set worth Rs. 1.25 crores has been erected at Valasarawakkam.  We hear that the shoot is progressing rapidly. Located at Pushpa Gardens, many of the indoor shots in the flick will be canned here.
